Tournament Rules,

Format & Info

Tournament will be conducted using NFHS rules other than local exceptions as stated as follows:

Gate Fees:

Coaches and players are free of charge. High School students are half price. Adults  Daily Passes are available for $10 good at all venues for that day only.

Home Team:

Coaches will conduct a Coin Flip prior to each Pool Play game to determine Home Field

Higher Seed is Home Team in all Bracket Play games

15/16u , 17U-18U Game Format:

15/16u ,17U/18U teams will play 4 games. Top Two teams in each pool  will be seated and move onto Bracket Play.

Tie Breaker Rule (Bracket Play only):

First 1 extra innings will be played normally time allowed. In the event the game remains tied after 1 extra innings, the last batted out from the previous inning will be placed on 2nd base and one out shall be recorded.  The inning(s) will then proceed from this point until a winner is determined. Courtesy runners for Pitcher and Catcher only in extra innings

Game Time/Inning Limits:

Teams competing in tournament play a 7 inning game or 1:50hr time limit, whichever occurs first.

Semi Final Bracket play will play the full 7 innings or 1:50 hour time limit unless a tie breaker format is necessary. In Semi Final games, The final games will play the full 7 innings with 2hrs. Run rules are still in effect.

In the interest of keeping the schedule intact, coaches be ready to start  games prior to scheduled game times if we are ahead of schedule.  The umpires will be instructed to start games early to keep the tournament on or ahead of schedule

Run Rules:

15 runs after 3 innings of play

10 runs after 4 innings of play

8 runs after 5 innings of play

Game Results:

Scores will be posted as quickly as possible to the tournament website at www.tslbaseball.com and https://app.eventconnect.io/events/14433/schedule?nav=hidden

Both Coaches should text the final score to 817-996-9441,  so scores can be entered. Failure to text scores after games , will result of 7-7 tie.

ALSO REPORT THE SCORE TO THE FRONT GATE PERSONAL.

Game Balls:

Each Team will provide the Home plate Umpire with 2 NFHS quality baseballs prior to the start of each game. Teams should be prepared to throw in additional baseballs at the umpire’s request

Bats:

All bats required to be BBCOR Certified. No BESR Bats allowed

BREWER HS Turf Restrictions (NO METAL CLEATS ALLOWED):

Brewer is fully turfed . The Coaching Staff has mandated that only Rubber Cleats and Turf Shoes be worn at all times using on the baseball field , mound and batting cages. Teams should strictly adhere to this policy at all times. Metal spikes are allowed on the mound. Also NO SEEDS ALLOWED At the Complex

 

Warm-ups:

No infield practice will be allowed prior to the start of any game

Teams will be permitted to take ground/fly balls down the off the outfield lines prior to the start of their game. Please remain at least 3-4 feet inside the outfield lines during warm-ups and wear turf shoes for warm ups.

Infield Maintenance:

Each facility will provide field prep prior to most games. Please respect the infield prep crews and do not allow players onto the dirt or mound prior to the game

Pitching Restrictions:

No Pitching Restrictions. Coach’s discretion

Lineups:

Teams will be allowed to bat the lineup. This will allow for all players to be seen as the coaches see fit. Notify the other Coach.

Courtesy Runners:

Optional for catcher/pitcher. Must be a player not currently in the game or the player who made the last out should a team not have an extra player on the bench

Scoring and Ties:

Pool Play games may end in a tie

Bracket Play games, if tied at the completion of innings or time limit, Tie Breaker Rule is in effect

Ejection Policy

Any coach ejected must vacate the dugout for the remainder of the current game. Players ejected may, at the umpires discretion, remain in the dugout for the remainder of the current game.

 

No Protests, umpire’s decision is final…have fun and play ball

 

Please clean up dugouts after each game

 

Concessions:

College / High Schools may or may not provide concessions. Only the Teams are allowed to bring coolers with bottled water to each facility.

 

Rainout Refund Policy:

No Games Played - In the event that an entire tournament is canceled due to inclement weather, a full refund minus $100 administration fee will be returned ASAP

1 or 2 Games Played - teams are eligible for refund of 20% of tournament entry fee per game not played (if a game is suspended it counts as a "game played") 

More than 2 Games Played - No Refund
